Nine West End stars can be heard on the concept album for a new musical, The In-Between which is released online. Performers featured on the recordings include Sabrina Aloueche, Julie Atherton, Daniel Boys, Cassandra Compton, Hadley Fraser, Alexia Khadime, Dianne Pilkington, Lauren Samuels and Liam Tamne. A quirky tale of love, friendship and letting go, The In-Between is a fantasy musical telling the story of sarcastic misfit, Flick Wimple, a perpetually underachieving nineteen-year old who stumbles through the wrong doorway and finds herself trapped in between parallel worlds. Desperately searching for a way home, Flick must overcome new challenges as she finds help in unexpected places and is forced to confront her troubled past…

Lauen Samuels sang at the Showoff Piano Bar on Friday, to help launch a new album of musical theatre songs.
Show Off! is a London version of the piano bars of New York where anyone who loves musical theatre can listen to songs from the shows and even get up and perform. It is held at Café Koha at11 St Martin’s Court, London, WC2N 4AJ. (Look for the alley between Leicester Square tube station and the Wyndham’s Theatre.) The doors open at 8:00 pm with the music starting at 9:00 pm and going on until 1:00 am.
This Friday 6th May Sarah Lark will be hosting the show with Liam Tamne, Lauren Samuels and Olivia Phillip scheduled to sing a few songs from Chris Passey’s new album.

So here it is, can you guess who she’s going to be tonight?
Of course Lauren Samuels is a big West End star in her own right now, who’d have thought it back then? Well a few people, obviously.

Matthew Goodgame, who is currently playing the role of ‘Kenicke’, will take over the role of ‘Danny’, from Noel Sullivan on 27th September 2010, but I’m not sure if Lauren Samuels is bowing out on 22nd January 2011 or if she has extended to April as claimed. I’ll update the post here when she lets us know her intentions for February and March 2011. But what do you think of Mathew Goodgame replacing Noel Sullivan in Grease then?
